Waves of Action Day for the Shore on Saturday 12/8

There will be a trip on Saturday, 12/8 to the Cattus Island County Park in Toms River to assist in cleaning up garbage and debris.  Volunteers will meet at 7am on Saturday morning in order to leave by 7:15am.  See information about the event below.  We intend to arrive back on campus around 3pm.

DATE: Saturday, December 8
START TIME: 8:30 a.m.
CLEAN-UP: Cattus Island County Park in Toms River
LOCATION: 1170 Cattus Island Blvd, Toms River, NJ with a meet-up in the park’s parking lot.
WHAT YOU’LL DO: Cattus Island was a deposit for all sorts of garbage and debris from Hurricane Sandy, and it needs to be removed before the trails can open again. Volunteers will be removing trash and straightening out trails.
WHAT TO BRING: Boots and gloves would be useful. A rake would also be handy for straightening out the wood chips on the trails. This project is kid-friendly!
